Poem: Wishing Well

Wishing Well

Penny for the wishing well
turn my heart to flesh
from shattered glass
and stubborn stone
to tender like the rest

 

A short poem for those who feel broken and long to be more, although there isn’t an easy fix. Sometimes we need to believe that there’s a little bit of magic to get us through the hard times. We need something so we stop feeling like stone.
